Dodge said no, now what?
My hitch was already lowered to a level that left me about 5 inches from the bed rail to camper. I did not want to go any lower on that and risk body damage to either. The 5er is not loaded wrong, the back of the truck sits to high thats all. It makes perfect sense so that when you load it up you wont look like a half ton going down the road dragging the bumper.
I was afraid to raise the 5er and mess with the center of gravity, plus it would have been more expensive. I just wanted a level truck unloaded and then a properly distributed weight wise level 5er riding on a truck that sat level loaded with as close to equal weight on both truck axles
I won and it looks good, tows great and thanks for the help
X2 on the headless bolts

Took 1 .spacer out, put it on the other side of the leaf spring, and used the same u-bolts, 68k ago, it drives great and I can get my fat butt on the tailgate now. If i remember , it went down 1.6" +_.It would be no worse than throwing in a heavy load, just puts the axle closer to the frame ever so slightly
