Dodge dually weaker than Chevy 2500 Dmax?

And trying to compare any 4 speed Dodge tranny with an Allison is just dumb...the Duramax and Ally work so well together it's not even comparable. Even to a built 47/48RE. Now the 68RFE, I honestly like it better than the Duramax/Ally...finally.

Converter and VB with a tuner are your only hope of being able to tow a 4 horse trailer even remotely close to what the Allison could do...it's not the Cummins that's the problem, just the junk converter behind it. Fix that, and I'll bet you'd be happy again!

To be honest, I'm not sure how the empty test drive impressed you to the point of trading??

The Duramax/Ally combo is stout, stock or not....modded, the Cummins is my favorite, but up to 500hp or so, and especially towing (with an Auto at least, manual trucks my choice is Cummins by FAR!!!), the Duramax is VERY good!
