Dieseling

My truck was dieseling this morning, must have been the synthetic oil I have been running.

From: North Carolina or Kentucky. Take your pick
How about blowby at crankcase breather or fill cap?
Syn oil had nothing to do with that much of issue.
Is there oil on the rear bumper. Indicates oil leak, big time.
If no oil leak, suspect you have had more fun then engine can stand.
Good luck.

I just don't understand what is going on I filled the oil up until I could see it in the fill hole. Maybe it just needs some more 710! Hehe!

Your problem is you stopped filling it when you just saw the oil. You should have filled it until it spilled over. You probably have air in the engine now.

Oh okay now I understand, I'll have to take care of that in the morning. I was just doing it like my local dealership told me too. I'll get that extra air out in the morning and give it time to settle overnight, hopefully it will all come to the top. Thanks for all your help!

Dieseling is the first sign your truck is burning oil.

I bet your dealer will have plenty of it, they will probably even give you a discount if you let them do it for ya!! You know how they like to cut you a deal.
