Dealer Injector Service- Is It Worth $180??

Had my truck at the dealer for the tie rod recall. Of course they recommended at slew of services. He described an injector service for $180 that they run special cleaner/fluid through the pump and injectors to clean everything out. NOT a fuel additive, but they actually take stuff apart to stop fuel flow from my tank and run this stuff through.

Anyone familiar with this?
Does it work?
Is it worth it?

I'd be interested if it helps prolong life of the injectors.

Thanks everyone,
fatpete

Never heard of it. Don't waste your money. If it ain't broke you can't fix it. If you want to drop $200 on your fuel system get a 2um secondary filter and tell your ******* to fix the tie rods only.

I would be hesitant to run anything but diesel through our fuel system. Take that money and upgrade to better filtration. If you are worried about carboned up injectors, take it on a good pull with some weight behind it. All the carbon will be gone.
