Test drove an 06 from one dealer and as I was getting off the freeway I felt this shimmy in the steering wheel. Salesman said it's the road and all their cars do it in this section of pavement. I use that exit all the time and have never felt that in any of my other vehicles. Bought my truck from another dealer and guess what..my new truck does not have the shimmy when exiting that same off-ramp. Glad I didn't buy that other truck!!!

Well that Explains why the last change they just did , on my 03, was to up the air pressure from 60-65psi - I hope it helps. The last time it happened - its scared the hell out of my wife and she told me to replace the truck with something else.
So far at 48k miles ball joints have been replaced three times, new lower control arms, new upper control arms...

i could throw my stock tires and wheels on, take it in to get looked at, then they would pop the hood and discover the other surprises there and laugh all the way through the voiding process. I am not having any trouble with wobble, but I didnt add any lift, just slightly bigger meats. how many dealers are going to do the "I dont know anything about/never heard about a wobble TSB"?

The TSB doesn't show up on my link to check for TSB's on dodge vehicles.

Is there a different or better TSB site?
Thanks
Holy Crap! This just happened to me today. My truck and I did the hula on the highway on a down hill corner!!
So let me ask this. I installed a Revtek 2" front leveling kit and bilstien shocks on my truck about 3000 miles ago. Never had a problem, until today. I did not get an alignment at the time that I installed the kit, but am now making an appointment to get this done on Tuesday. I am going to take this first post with the TSB # on it to the dealer, do you think they will not honor the warranty for parts if there are some worn parts? My truck has only 4800 miles on it. I could take the 2" leveling kit out, but what a PITA!
Do you all think the 2" kit can be proven to affect the dampner (stock tires are still on) and tie rods. Also, from what I understand too is that a Dodge HD truck can be ordered with a "snow plow" option and that essentially raises the truck 2" from the factory. As another option, I know the Dodge dealer in New Mexico has been installing 2" Superlift leveling kits on brand new trucks as well as putting 35's on them. Maybe they would be more apt to "warranty" if any parts have failed.

OK, 1st learing curve: ALWAYS TALK TO THE TECH WORKING ON YOUR RIG, DEMAND IT!!
Death Wobble: Truck only has 4800 miles on it. I put a leveling kit on 3000 miles ago, and never aligned it, it drove fine with tire wear to a minimum. I had felt slight shimmy lately and figured OK, I need to get this aligned whenever. Anyway, since there is a TSB on the front dampner, they were going to order me a new dampner.
Told them to do an alignment and make sure to add max caster. Get the truck back two days later, and guess what, it pulls to the right and steering wheel is crooked. Took back today and they put it on the rack right away. I asked to talk to the tech, and they said sure. So I went to the techs work station and he did not know there was any shimmy, TSB etc. He said the SW just told him to do an alignment, and it was in spec and did not touch caster (tech did not know I requested that since I did not talk to him the first time). Long story short, I watched him do the alignment, we (I requested) put in a little over (.2) caster from spec, readjusted the toe, adjusted the steering wheel, and guess what, the truck drives great (has a slight road crown pull) and the shimmy is gone!! On top of that, they are giving me my $$ back from the alignment, and the tech is going to reschedule and install an eccentric ball joint to and new dampner and get this truck back to perfect, all under warranty
