Cp-3

Will 30 PSI at idle harm a Cp-3? Thanks-John

Wow....30psi!! What kind of LP are you running? I know the VP44 didn't like much over 20psi head pressure going into it and while I don't think 30 is too much for the CP3, if you can regulate the pressure down a little you will be just fine. My AD150 holds 18 psi all the time and that is well within the range for me.

I'm running an Airtex E8845 on the frame rail after my 2 micron filter. When I installed it I didn't think the pressure would be that high. I was hoping for no more than 20. I may have to regulate it down.
Thanks for your reply-John

I can't find my link to a search I did here. I think the CP3 will handle up to 100PSI input. But do a search to make sure my memory isn't fading.

Tesla440-I just did a Google search and it appears that many are running 30 or more PSI. I think my 30# will be okay. Thanks for your response-John

OEM specs are -5 to +15 psi, unless it's an aftermaket one where the builder specifies more pressure I would turn it down to a max of 15 at idle. Added pressure can increase wear, it does add a couple of hp but for the average user you cannot tell, but you can tell when you have a shorter pump life.

Industrial Injection recomends 10-12psi max on a single CP3 set up or weird little things start to happen.
