confused about injection pump

confused about injection pump

I've been looking for a 2003-2004 dodge ram 3500 CTD. I have a friend of mine told me those years still had the VP44 pump on them. I thought they came with a CP3 injection pump, can someone let me know which pump these truck came with? Thanks

2003 model year was first year with the CP3 pump. Although 2003 wasn't the high output engine. 2004 started first year for high output engine.

wan't it the 04.5 that started the HO. if so not all 04's would be HO.

Yeap, the early 03' and 04' trucks either had a HO or SO (California smog legal version) engine. The 04.5 was the first HO engine to be 50 state legal.
