Trying to purchase a 2006 QC 5.9 Laramie 4x4 what should I look for during cold start up and how do I check for blow by and also inspect the inter cooler fins for damage? Anything else I should look for idle issues etc. Truck is located out of my area so I have no ability to drop it off at a mechanic shop overnight.

 

Once it's started, make sure the exhaust doesn't smell like diesel. Also make sure it doesn't run rough to boot. Both indicate a faulty injector.
