The check engine light came on and these are the codes that came up. what does BAT temperature sensor rationality mean? and is that why the fan speed code came up. The temp here is not above 40 and the fan usually does not come on anyway even in the summer.

 

po514 is no big deal. most owners of 04 trucks have had that code at one time or another. my truck shows it all the time. there is some plug, temp sensor or something under one of the batteries. some owners say if they clean it,etc-the code goes away. i think i read a post on here too-that there is a dealer flash now that can fix it.

 

can someone tell me exactly where this sensor is and on which side pass or driver?

 

i get p0514 in winter when i plug block heater in then start. goes away after a few starts not plugged in.

 

2 common cold wether colds. Mine has them all of the time. 0483 comes when I run my snow blade on the truck. keep driving.
