My is doing the same thing and started on a very cold day here in the east on start up. Bought a new ttva (mopar) on ebay ($211) installed last night and no change. Can valve be stuck internal? At wits end...

Took to trans shop today. They reset the codes, after I installed new TTVA, and after a few miles light came on and truck does same thing again. Taking it back on Monday for a service and band adjustment...hope they don't find anything inside pan.

Will give update next week.

P.S. Also had them adjust/tighten the shift cable/linkage...like new again, able to manual down shift!

I too have the same problem as of 1/28/14 noted in the thread P1751 and P1754. It got down to 0 here in Colo Springs when this occurred, does anyone know why the cold causes this part to fail? Its been colder than this before without any issues. I will replace the TTVA this week myself. Please let us know about the codes not clearing. My scan tool couldn't clear them either.

I tried pulling it down, using a pry bar but i still cant seem to get it to go down the last 1/4in or so. does anyone know if its safe to put a little bit of lithium grease or Vaseline? please let me know your ideas anything would be great.

Make sure to relearn the computer after installation. Leave the key in the on position for 30 seconds without starting it.

A little follow up. Truck has been going back and forth between code and no code. It will drive fine for a couple of days and then goes back into limp mode (late 1st gear shift) and then go back to normal. Now it is due for a trans service with band adjustment, so I am figuring to replace govenor pressure sensor when pan is down. Solenoid has been replaced a few years with updated version, so not sure if i will replace again.

Will post again when I cure it! Has to be soon because camping season is coming up quickly!

I had the same problem for a couple of years now. Spent 3 grand chasing it and could not get it cleared up . I'm on my 3rd TVA , 1 valve body and an ECM. I ended up just getting a code reader from Auto Zone and every time it happens I pull over reset the computer and I'M good. Seems to happen 2 or 3 times a year. This works for me.

Well I have an update on mine. Finally put in a new TVA last night. It seemed to have fixed that problem so far and has also reset my cel. Now I have other big problems. It feels like I have hunting or possibly slipping (I'm hoping hunting) all over the place in my lower gears. I just ordered a governor pressure solenoid and transducer and hope and pray it takes care of all my problems! This thing is driving me and my wallet insane!

Did you relearn the TVA? That may be the problem. Good luck

Try at different shifter position: neutral or 1st gear.
Can't remember exactly which one.
