Alright fellas- I ran a code check and came up w/ 0236 and 0336. Could these be contributing to my problem? One is a boost sensor and the other is a crank position sensor. What do they do besides the obvious?

The boost sensor is also known as the MAP sensor. I assume the BullyDog uses the MAP for boost fooling. The error should clear after a few restarts. If not remove the BullyDog and check again.
Not sure about the crank position sensor, possible issue with the sensor or wiring.

So with these codes showing, should I be worried about something bad happening?? I'm a diesel newbie and am not comfortable with this stuff quite yet.

I wouldn't be too concerned with the MAP sensor but I would with the crank sensor.

So w/ the crank sensor, is there some way to test that to see if it's bad?? And how do the codes reset?

the codes will clear themselves once the problem has been corrected. it will take a few heat up cool down cycles to do so. the crank sensor is on the balancer behind the pulley, on the drivers side. make sure it didnt get banged up by something on the road.

I climbed under there this morning to check the wiring to the sensor by feel, but I'll do a more thorough job of it tonight. So is there any way to throw a multimeter on that sensor to see if it's bad or something?

Took the torque dog off and the 0336(crank position) code went away. But right before I took it off I checked the codes again and now I have a 0483. Something about the fan position. What a headache.

P0483 could mean the fan clutch is going out.

there is a tone ring mod that advances the timing around 2*, the roktech sensor is a factory sensor that has been modified to give adjustability to about 4*. you dont need to do this. just wondering if it had been done and something went wrong with the job that is causing those codes.

another thing to look at. behind your a/c compressor, is a wire that goes to the ac clutch. on some trucks that wire has chafed through, shorting reference voltage intermittently to ground and giving weird codes. check that wire and just for grins, put some loom and tape on it. mine was chafing, but no causing issues. i did the tape and loom just in case.

Should I get the fan clutch tested? If possible of course... I'll check that wire dodgezilla..

Is it possible that my BDTD module is messed up?

you should be able to tell if yoru fan clutch is going bad by just seeing if it is pushing plenty of air over the motor and another way you can tell is to light a cigarette and hold it in front of your radiator/intercooler etc.. with your hood open and if it sucks the smoke through the radiator pretty good then its fine, if it spins to slowly it wont suck the smoke through all 4 of the things

hope its not bad because i just replaced mine it was like 400 dollars but it was easy to change by pulling the fan out through the bottom of the truck...
