Clutch issue??

So my truck is starting to have a real hard time shifting gears. Especially down shifting. Does not slip at all. I tried making it slip and it won't. I've got an aftermarket clutch (sb con) with roughly 100,000 miles on it. Have 190,000 on the truck. Have not done the master slave set up. Wondering if that could be my issue? Any thoughts?

Thanks
Kris

Inspect the release system for leaks(easiest) then dig deeper(for things like a warped disc or pressure plate).

Only thing I've done to the tranny was change the oil. Put amsoil in it a long time ago. checked the oil and it looked good.

You say "real hard time shifting gears" as in it grinds when trying to shift or just hard to move the lever and no grinding?

No grinding. Just doesn't want to go in. Lot of pressure to get it in.

Before you pull the tranny out to inspect everything, I would spend a little and upgrade the hydraulics first. Your stock set up might be getting weak and possibly leaking internally.

You mean like a new master cyl?

Can't find any leaks anywhere. Feels like I'm just not getting the clutch pushed in far enough. At a stop. I can barely get it into reverse. Pumping the peddle helped.

The leak is internal and will not show on the outside.

Putting a new master slave in tomorrow. Clutch peddle feels a little different. Almost like the cyl I'm pushing in is hanging up just a tad. I'll let ya know if it fixes it.

Thanks

Wasn't the slave/mstr cyl. Frig!!! Guess I'm throwing a new clutch in it. Buddies dad is a really good mechanic and he is leaning towards a pressure plate hanging up. Just my luck.
