I've had my truck for 4 years and it has never thrown a code....until yesterday. The CEL came on and the throttle went unresponsive for about 5 seconds. The throttle came back, but the light stayed on. My question is, do I need a code reader and if not how do I retrieve the code. Thanks.

 

No, Just turn your key on then off, then on then off, 3x then leave it ON. Don't start. The codes will display on the Odo.
