Changing from 4.10's to 3.73's?
Just wondering what was involved to getting this done. Don't tow much so really all the 4.10's are doing right now is costing me diesel. Possible to get it done by the dealer?, as I don't want to void my warranty.

Involves completely setting up the front and rear diffs (third member). One of the things I have found out about dealerships is that they do not do a certain types of work in-house any longer. They will send it out to a shop that specializes in that type of work, diff. work being one of the things they send out. I would talk to a couple of techs and find out if they do it in-house or send it out. If they send it out, try to find where they send it to, go there, and get an estimate. You will find that it is normally cheaper by quite a bit.

Taller tires is an easier way to go. I just put on 285s (32.7 inches) giving me an effective 3.90 ratio. A 34" tire, like a 305 maybe, will get to around a 3.80 effective ratio.

I will take your stock ones from you for the right price. I have 3.73's but want to swap them for 4.10's
