changed tranny today ...whew...

changed tranny today ...whew...

Put in 7 qts of atf+4 and wound up taking out 2 qts.......



Everything looked good at 71k miles.

I found the Mopar ATF +4 at my Wally World for $4.37 a quart. I think the last time I bought some at the dealer (why can't I say s t e a l e r?) it was over $6 a quart.

Dexron? Why in the world? I know of scores of folks that wished they would have stuck with the ATF4.

Well, if I had the money to spend that much on a trans, I would run what they told me. Since ATF4 is the ONLY recommended fluid for the factory trans, and there have been plenty of issues running something else, I will stick with the ATF4. But that is just me.
