cel code p2609?
cel code p2609?
Title pretty much sums it up. I've done a search and I know what the code means, but I just want some more information on it if possible. The code showed up when the truck had sat overnight in near 0 weather. I cycled the grid heaters twice and then the code showed up. Also this is on a 2006. Any info is appreciated.

When reading the service manual on the above code it mainly says there was no voltage drop from the grid heater turning on. The troubleshooting part of it states to check resitance of all lines to make sure under 10 ohms and to check relays to make sure the click on. Hope this helps.
I got that same code the other day. My truck sat for a week in really cold weather. Cycled key twice and then started and got the cel with that same code. Dealer said that when they read the ecm, there wasn't that code in there.
Total bs. They cleared them all and I haven't had any issues yet.

Thanks guys for the responses. I haven't went to the dealer yet, but the code is there. I found this out by cycling the key. It appears if you cycle the grid heater you have to be quick at starting the engine(the code appears if you wait too long after the heater light is off).
