It can't be that difficult!!

I took my truck in yesterday to get another key cut and programmed. While I was there, I asked them to enable the high idle. They proceeded to tell me that it would not be possible to do that . I really don't think it can be that difficult!! So could someone explain what is involved to enable the high idle? (truck specs should be in my sig but if not "06, quad cab, auto, 3.73's, and yes it has cruise control). I am planning on taking it to another dealer to have this done, but i just would like to know to make sure it is possible.

Thanks in advance!!

Thanks, I didn't think it would be "REALLY HARD", but for some reason they loooked at me like I was stupid. I thought they might understand what I was talking about since I bought the truck there!

Not quite that simple, but close.

They have to plug in the STARscan tool and select the feature from a menu. I am familiar with the DRBIII do I can't get specific for you.

If I were you I would kindly mention to the service manager that it is a feature that you would like and that you will not be bringing your truck to them for any future warranty work if they continue to tell you, "it's not possible". That should get under his skin enough to have them actually do their job. If it doesn't go elsewhere.
