Can I go Back?
DBLR,
Please accept my appologies. Don't mean to offend anyone. I've seen some of your posts and you like to think about things. To me that's what makes informed people. Hope we can share the spirit again some time.

From: Well I thought I lived in America, but its looking more like france every day.
The reason i was thinking of switching back was the expence of sythetic oil. I put about 12,000 miles per year so that would be about 2 oil changes. I go every 7500 miles on sythetic and 5000 miles with 15-40. But to be honest, I really like doing general maintanece on my truck. its fun. What got me thinking was I changed the oil in my 4 wheeler and I bought the oil filter from the dealer and he asked what oil I was using. I told him and he said that once i put sythethic oil into it I should continue using sythetic. I should have asked him why, but I just left thinking it was another urban legend.
One thing I did notice when I put sythetic in my truck was the easy cold start up. I can really tell the differnce in cold wheather. I also put moble 1 synthetic in my honda 2000 generator and it runs smoother and starts up easier year round. Im thinking I will stick with synthetic in my truck
