Bummer

My truck quit running earlier this week, took it to the dealership and they said it was the transfer pump and it was not covered under warranty. The worst part is they want 900 dollars to fix it. It seems it is one thing after another. Anyone had any experience with this?

If by transfer pump you mean lift pump...

The DTR Store has AirDog's on sale right now.

There are several thread's on here that show detailed installs, or depending on where you are located someone may be able to help you.

X2
Don't waste your money on another piece of junk factory LP
For less money you can have a 10x better pump with a lifetime warranty

PM me if you want details, I did it a few years ago, (same problem) and it is not too bad at all. I went with an Air Dog, and ran it straigt to the CP3, bypassing the fuel canister.

About anything is better than factory! Its a wise decision to go aftermarket on the lift pump.

Went with the Airdog 100, I am really excited about getting this done. The dealership is still getting to me with a $390 bill to install it. Maybe I should have been a mechanic!

For $900 you can have a really nice aftermarket pump and filter set up. Is your truck over 100K miles? If not I think that should be covered under warranty.

they gave me some song and dance about the pump was not a internally lubricated part of the engine, therefore the warranty could not help me. Oh well, I am still excited about the AD 100.

Read your owners manual, specifically the warranty section. I believe that the lift pump IS considered part of the engine warranty.
