brake rotors

brake rotors

time for brakes , do i stay with factory rotors or do i go to drilled , sloted rotors , looking for pros and cons of switching .

How many miles did you get from the originals? How do you use the truck? IF the originals have crazy high mileage and didn't give you any trouble why change? On the other hand if you didn't get good service life from the OEM's and you need extra capacity, I would go with slotted Cryogenic treated rotors and let the rotor mfg recommend the pads to use (maybe ceramic).

Agree entirely with Nick.....Beware of slotted and drilled rotors, that is redundent and just lessens the surface area of the disc with no performance gain. Be sure and rebuild your calipers as well.... easy to do and no special tools needed. Makes a brake job a quality one, and one that will be problem free.

Stick with the factory ones. I only have heard bad news when people switched, either noise, vibration or wearing out quickly.
