Block Heater Cord...
Pretty sure you can purchase the cord from Napa as well. Seem to remember a thread about this a while ago. Got mine from Geno's, but still paid more than it's worth. Never needed it, but glad it's in there.

I agree but it's a case of they don't realize it.
So how do I convince them?

LanceK,
I have been a Dodge truck salesman and a very good friend of mine is a sales manager at a 5 Start dealership. I just ordered and received a 2006 Mega and we had this conversation when ordering so I know for a fact how this works.
If you ordered your truck with the "block heater" option for $10 (which is what I believe you're saying) then it will come with the block heater in the engine and the cord from the block heater to the bumper so you can then plug it in to your extension cord. If your truck was ordered without the $10 block heater option then it came with the block heater installed in the engine but without the cord. I know this is confusing, they should have showed the option as block heater cord and saved everyone a lot of confusion.
Again, if your truck was ordered with a block heater option it will come with everything you need to plug it in to your extension cord. If it did not, then contact your dealer and let them know. If they don't supply you with a cord call Dodge Customer Service 800 number and the problem will be fixed probably within 24 hours or less. They will contact the dealer on your behalf and instruct them to give you the cord at no cost.

If you call DC, they will just tell you to contact your dealer. So go to your dealer and ask him what the $10 charge is for since all CTD trucks come with the EBH standard. When he replies that the $10 is for the cord then you can say "okay! give me one" I don't look at it as rocking the boat at all, if they know their product like they should (and usually dont) then they should not need any explanation of why they need to give you a cord. I work hard for my money, and I don't like to pay for things that I don't get. I ask my dealer for all kinds of stuff, and usually they are accomidating. I got cab lights installed at no additional cost.
Wow, this is the first I've heard about something like this.....my ford came with everything and wasn't any kind of option....hmmm, I guess it's just another way to make some money...lol
I like having one though, in the winter time, it's nice to go out, start your truck and the heat is already on it's way out....
