Bio????

Can I run bio-diesel in my early 04? I have 65k miles on it.
Thanks

The official answer is: Under warranty, you can run B5 (5% bio, 95% dino- see your owner's manual). There's of a memo from Cummins that later raised that to 20%, but the jury is still out on whether it applies to our trucks.

I've personally run a tank or two of about 40-50% bio without any trouble. Runs quieter, smells different. Supposed to give you lower MPGs but mine went up a little for some reason. Just remember to replace your fuel filter after the first tank as the stuff scrubs your fuel system.
