CV joint covers??? As for the ball joints, count your blessings. I got 26k out of my first set of stockers and about 58K out of the second set under warranty. Got XRF's in and hope they go a bit longer...

ball joints and front u joints. I guess I am glad they found it. It did seem to float a little on the last trip. wish I had had time to pick out a better set. I guess what I am hearing is to plan ahead for the next time. glad to get this done now and we are on the road in the morning.
what is the basic problem? Is the front of the truck just heavy enough to cause problems or do they use bad joints?

138,000 miles still on original ball joints. do your self a favor and invest in a grease needle and pump them full a few times a year.

72K out of my ball joints, front u-joints, and rear u-joint.

I have to admit that I did run a lot of recycled concrete loads that might have been exceeding the little sticker in the door frame.
