ball joints
Sometimes you get what you pay for. If you want something that's going to last for a long time. Then someone will shell out the coin and buy a product..........
I was told 20k miles ago that my ball joints were bad by alignment shop, Dodge said they were OK, went home and greesed them all with a needle greeser and they are still fine. Called Moog,,, 1/4 inch up and down in joint is OK, nothing else.
The OEM wear spec is .090" vertical for the lower ball joints & .060" lateral on the upper ball joints... the uppers have ~1/4" of vertical play since they are basically floating king pins - the lowers carry all of the front end weight.

34k on my truck now and I am on the second set of ball joints. The first replacement did not last 1k miles. I priced out some dana ball joints through my local supply house, around 75 bucks each and gauranteed for life.
