Ball Joints

I saw a thread about the ball joints going out on these trucks and what to do about it but cant find it. Im getting the steering pull that was mentioned in the thread. Has anyone gone in to the dealership for corrections and if so what did you say?

I thought mine might be going because of seeing number of threads on ball joints. They inspected mine. All had about .020 play. DC says up to .060 on top and .090 on bottom is with in spec. At least I think that was the numbers, might have been the other way around on top and bottom. I have 54,000 miles now. My issue was just needing to balance and rotate tires again.

The ball joints went on my 1999 3500 4x4 at about 68000 miles. I didn't feel the truck pulling at all, however I was getting a clunking sound when making a sweeping right hand turn at 20 MPH or more. Cost a bundle to replace. Good luck!
