thanks. does anyone have a section or a manual that i could go by for the ball joint part?

The hardest part will be removing the hub/bearing assembly. If they have never been removed before get ready for some work. Try to soak them with pentrating oil the night before. Have someone to help with those(using steering as a press). Just finished doing mine. balljoints and u-joints (one was siezed). Use antisieze when putting bearing back. good luck.

Oh yeah, like stated if you don't rent or buy a balljoint press forget you will be there a long time pounding and getting no where.

rockauto.com has the tool a guy needs. whether or not it comes with the press i dunno. is there any axle seals ill need? or just the NEW ball joints? any special tools?

whats a good repair cd manual to get. there are some on ebay for $50 and some for $20

the two manuals including service manual that I look at didn't really show or tell how to do it. Some info on the net said to do the top joint first then bottom. I found doing the bottom first then top worked better for me. No axle seals needed. Only speacial tool needed is the ball joint press. the hub puller is nice to have also but not needed. Getting the hub assembly off just takes time. If you do a search on hub removal someone did a nice writeup about how to use a socket and extention and the power steering to get the hub assemblies off.
