Ball Joint?

Ok just had all four ball joints replaced. Now my steering seems to be tight as in when i turn left or right it kinda wants to stay left or right and I find myself non stop over correcting. Tech said they will take couple 100 km's to wear in they should be fine. Has anyone else noticed this, is there any truth to that line? Usually work on my own truck but just didn't have the time this time hope I dont regret it.

The tech is correct to a degree... they do "burnish" in to a small extent. Give it the few 100kms and then see.

if the correct torque procedure is not followed it can put pressure on the joints that make them tight. Like if you over torque the upper it will pull up on the lower stud pressing the ball into the top of the socket...If it doesn't loosen up in a few hundred miles you could try loosening and re-torque (i think it was upper 30 then lower 100 then upper 70) Unless you got the offset uppers or they didn't seat them straight shouldn't affect alignment but never hurts to have it checked...

Thanks guys, I will try it out for while. If it does persist I will take it back and get them to check the torque.
