Anyone looking to go to auto?

Hi, my name is John and I'm new here. I've been lurking for a long time here, great site.

I wonder if anyone looking to swap to auto as I'm looking to go to manual(G56)

My truck is 2005 Dodge 2500/5.9/SWB/3.73/48RE/4X4, Laramie full load except heated seats, 132,000 Km's, straight piped. Runs great tranny is great too no problems, I also ordered from www.transmissioncenter.net a lot of upgrades except TQ, but decided to try my luck on the swap.
Looking for same year truck with G56 to swap parts with.

Reason for swap is because i don't drag race or run any chips, i just tow and it's my daily driver, therefore I'd like manual.

Thanks

Too bad yours isn't an '03 truck. I'm really starting to hate the NV5600 in my truck.

I'd also consider do a swap for my g-56 that has 50,000 miles on it in my 06. I also have upgraded hydrolics and a South bend double disc clutch. Let me know. I'm in North east ohio

I would love to, but I'm afraid PCM/ECM on 06 has more eloctronics. What I'm saying is dash has more electronic widgets to it and prob overhead, correct me if I'm wrong..

I'll look into it some more

I would be wondering about that "program it for your VIN" part.

Pm sent.

Yes, I have a 1500 sq ft shop we can do the swap in. I am between jobs, so have extra time on my hands as well.

Hi again, sorry been busy with university. Thanks to all who replied and made efforts to make this a go..... In reality it would be almost impossible to make this happen too far away from my location, as i have everything tied up around here to make swap go easy.

Also I've decided to go with Eaton 9 or 13 speed transmission, so really it doesn't matter on what transmission NV5600 or G56 (or what condition, just not in pieces), what matters is ECM, wiring harness and dash (when i'll finish my semester I'll start studying wiring diagrams of manual and auto trucks to figure out electronics completely).

Anyway, I'll keep this thread alive. Right now I'm slowly (as time permits) gathering parts for modification to fit new transmission. If anyone interested or has suggestion regarding this, please post as this is not an easy task especially in 05 truck, BUT doable.

Thanks

Gents,
Please keep the wanted ads in the classifieds. Feel free to take this to PM's, just not on the open forums.

Thanks.
