Couple of tricks to try if you want to lower the EGTs. One is installed an adjustable boost elbow and set it to around 32psi and install a boost fooler. The extra boost will lower the EGTs at WOT. Also can do the tone ring mod (search the 3rd gen performance section for more info) or install a Rokktech crankshaft sensor. Both will give about 2 degrees of advance timing and will help lower the EGTs.

Or buy a SMARTY. Not only will it increase the performance but will lower the EGTs with the right settings. I'm only seeing 1000 degrees at WOT with the SMARTY.

I am only seeing 1000-1100 wide open at 70-80 MPH(acceleration from a stop) with the Smarty on Tow(70hp). This is with boost at about 28-30 lbs and 5000 ft elevation. Also have the Scotty III.
