anybody know what a code 64 12 is?
Re:anybody know what a code 64 12 is?
I've got a OBD2 scanner and all the codes I've seen start with a P. Even if I were to drop the "P" and just check the numbers the 1st digit only has a range of 0-3. Are you sure that's an OBD2 code? From what you've got posted it looks like a code my Jeep spits out when I use the ignition key in an on/off cycle to get it to kick me a code.
If it's done with the key it's as follows:
64. Catalytic converter efficiency failure.
12. Stand-by memory circuit fault. Direct battery feed to the LM has been interrupted.
Hope this helps.

Re:anybody know what a code 64 12 is?
I have no idea on how it shows on a Dodge or even if it's possible but on most Chrysler vehicles, you can cycle your ignition key from off to on 3 times and stop on the on position to get codes. When doing this, do not start the motor. On my Jeep, it flashes the check engin light, but I understand that on vehicles with a digital odometer, it will just show the codes there.
Re:anybody know what a code 64 12 is?
Thanks, I'll give it a try tonight. I shouldn't have any codes right now. I thought that if I ever needed a scanner I might buy one, but if anybody has priced a DRBIII you will fall over and just go buy a new truck, DRBIII = $6000.00
. I know there are some "consumer grade" scanners such as auto x-ray, might try that if the need ever arises.
Thanks again
