I got new meats put on the truck today. Toyo MT 35/12.5r20s

And I had the shop do an alignment while it was getting tires cuz it pulled to the left and steering wheel was off after my leveler.

But now the truck dosen't feel right. It like I'm driving a boat. Very unstable. Seems like it has a .5 sec delay when I turn the wheel on the road.


I would blame it on the track bar. But it drove great this morning on bald 31s and now with proven E rated tires (and alignment) it's driving like crap.



Only thing he changed was TOE

left was 0.49 he changed to 0.06
Right was 0.31 he changed to 0.06

Total was 0.80 and now 0.11


Did they over correct?

 

Hopefully their equipment is well calibrated and accurate. Do you have any reason to believe that your alignment was that far out before you took it into the shop?
I know mud terrain tires feel a bit "greasy" when they are brand new, and hopefully the bad feeling goes away in 500 miles or so when the tires start to break in. Still bothers me that they would have to make a 3/4 inch change to the toe. Whenever I would see something that far out on the alignment machine I would hunt for a reason, then I would look for evidence of it on the tire wear, and then double check the alignment machine's findings with a tape measure just to make sure something wasn't out to lunch. It may be worth a conversation with the alignment shop.

 

I have no idea why my truck would be .80 out o. The tow. Only thing I have changed is the 2" leveler. While I know that will change stuff I dident think it would be that bad.

It's a reputable shop that I trust. I will be going back to them in the morning I just want a little info going in.
