need help confirming what i did

first is thier no where for the filter minder

and does any one else think it sounds like you have a pop off valve when shifting with 30 boost

and can you hear air rushing aswell

I dont have a place for the "Filter Minder" on mine either. It is pretty useless on an aftermarket Air Intake system anyway. You can now hear the turbo much better. It sounds like you might be barking the turbo a little on shifts. Not really good on the stock turbo, high rpm and turbo boost and let off quickly may bark sometimes.

 

Yep, big rush of air and lots of turbo noise. Sounds good doesn't it? It takes practice to not bark the turbo on high RPM/Boost and shifting but you get used to the right combo of clutch and fuel pedal let off.

 

does the filter have enough oil on it from the factory or should i reoil it

the silver painted intake tube on my stage 1 has a place for the filter minder. the AFE sucks it down the whole way anyways so it is essentially non-functional anymore.

 

My filter came preoiled and ready to use. The stage 2 has no provision for the filter minder. I doubt it would ever move it anyway. No restrcition at all it seems.
