6spd manuals

Which year did the manual trans change from the nv5600 to the g56? i thought it was 07 but recently read somewhere that the 06 had the g56.

It was during the 05.5' trucks. So in mid year 05' they changed to the G56 and DMF.

Yea and in 07 they changed the gear ratios.

my '06 gears seem to be too close together. real good for towing a toy hauler though!

Yea the 05.5-06 models are some tow monsters, but they suffer when bob tail!
