anyone got a 3rd gen truck..with the 6spd and some miles on her?if you do, please contact me please.

 

oops...to clarify...i wanna take a ride in one so i can decide if i want a 6spd long box or keep my current 04.5 slushbox

when i originally looked at both 6spds and autos...drove the 6spd and it was REALLY tight...but i wanna see what its like after 5-10k

I can tell you that mine loosed up quite a bit. It was so tight when new sometimes it was hard to get it into gear especially reverse. With 23k it's losened up quite a bit. Not sloppy but much more relaxed.

Remember, in 2005 the 6 speed was changed over to the g56 from the nv5600 (I think some early 2005's might have the nv5600) that was used in the 2nd gens and the 03-04.5 3rd gens. Just be sure you know which one you are rowing if someone lets you take their's for a spin.
