48RE issue

hi guys this is my first time to your page I have an issue with my 05 2500 Cummings I recently had an upgraded trans done around 30k ago every thing was perfect until three weeks ago towing a 10k trailer from PA to CT. All was good until I got off the highway. The truck was stuck in 2nd or 3rd. Checked for codes, had pressure solenoid voltage too high. Brought back to trany shop they swapped out the solenoids and cleared the code. Good for about 2 weeks, no towing. Last weekend towing the trailer, got off the highway and the truck did the same thing, same code.
Back to the trany shop and he says he thinks it's the PCM. Priced out a new one at $2500.00!
Anyone have any thoughts or suggestions?

Thanks for any info!

Did the shop replace the pressure transducer? I had one go out on me and the truck would start in 3rd gear. Also did they use the updated or GM solenoid? You could also have a fault in the wiring that could be killing them.

I second what hummer11 typed. Replace both of those parts, and see how it goes. THE GM solenoid is the way to go.

Might need a VBA with that upgraded trans....Dodge 47RE/48RE Transmission Valve Body Assistant VBA

Seems when you have the trailer hooked your tranny line pressure is reaching higher values, vs unloaded....and it's just enough to trigger limp mode.

Whoops, didn't realize this post was from September. Hopefully the VBA info helps someone else.
