Looking for some help! My 48RE with 62000 miles on it all of a sudden decided it would not shift out of first gear. Runs the tack all the way to 4000rpm and still wont shift. It will finally shift once I pull my foor out of it. I replaced the electronic Govenor & Soloniod on the valve body today. Still no shift . Anynone had or having anything same or similar? Nothing in the pan, very little on the magnent. I do tow about 12000 lbs frequently.

If it happens when you back up and put in gear mine did the same thing and turned out to be a warped vave body.Dealer put new one in and no problems after 35000 miles

It's under warranty take it in.


Also 4000 rpms

 

It is the Valve Body! I had the same issue with a new 06, 48re...... Warranty Time.

 

I bought this truck used. Does dodge still cover this on a power train warranty?
