48 re shift problem ?
For the most part the shift points on my transmission feel pretty good...Exept when I go from reverse to drive. After going from reverse to drive, the truck will stay in 1st or 2nd gear for way to long. This condition will usually continue for about a half mile or so.
Sometimes after it finally does shift, there is a slight bang when it hits the next gear almost like when you pop the clutch on a manual. Usually the truck will wait to shift around 23 - 2400 rpms( under real light driving). Normally the truck will shift into the next gear around 1600 under the same driving cond.
On an urealated topic, the truck is only getting about 13 mpg. I do an even mix of driving which could be best described as somewhere right between city and rural driving. Oh yeah, the numbers are hand calculated, toping off to the neck every time.
