325/610 Ctd
Yes Dodge has done it again. They upped the numbers to 325/610. It's good to be the KING.
From DC's web site on the SPECs page"5.9L Cummins Turbo Diesel Engine - 610 lb-ft
MSRP: Included
The Dodge Ram Heavy Duty Cummins Turbo diesel engine is a 5.9L inline 6 cylinder that produces 610 lb-ft of torque and 325 horsepower from 5.9L of displacement "
OK it's time to trade up AGAIN

I agree with osci. If the folks at DC keep uping the torque and hp numbers with out changing the 48re you would think two things are happening
1.) The 48RE is one hell of a transmission and can take a lot more then anyone believes it can or
2.) DC is go to have a lot of warrentee work in the near future.

Does this mean that those of us with '04.5 600's won't have the worst fuel mileage of any version of the Cummins anymore?
Can we start making fun of the guys with 325/610's just like the guys with 305/555's do to us?

Less than a 2% increase. Seems to me this is probably well within the range of variation from engine to engine in a production run.
Nobody has any trouble believing the number is easily in reach, but I DO wonder exactly WHAT if anything was actually changed.
