Not sure what's happening, but this started with 1st holding for a long time, even under light throttle, then going into second, and if floored it would sit on red line until into 3rd. Now, start in 1st, stacked shift into 3rd, then 4th and all is normal. I can force a shift into 2nd with heavier throttle, but it slips 100%, then into 3rd. Valve body, servo, have I damaged it bad?

the sticking in first sounds like a throttle valve, the slipping in 2nd sounds like 2nd gear band or band clamp

 

Check your front band adjustment, both problems can be caused by a loose adjustment.

 

I'm thinking about adjusting mine. At 208,000 I'm now at about 120,000 since the new HD band went in. Any tips?

 

Nope, set it stock specs and see how many threads are left. Then you will know if its time to replace.
