hey
here's the problem was driving along the other evening in town and stopped at stop light and took off everything was good till truck shifted into second gear and it just started slipping. i've saw on the site were others have had 2nd gear problems and adjusting the bands have been mentioned. I also wondered if there were selinoids that shift and if that could be causing the problems? I changed the fluid and filter in it probably bout 5,000 miles ago. Torque converter has slipped before if you turn the smarty up too much and have a heavy foot but other wise seemed to be okay for the most party. I did notice it acting a little funny under medium throttle before torque converter locking up the last week that i do recall. any help or recomends would be great.

 

No solenoids controlling the 1-2 or 2-3 shift, all hydraulic. Sounds like either a band problem or the servo piston.
