2006 Braking problem

Last winter, I was screwing around on the ice a little. I was in reverse, backing up, hit the brakes hard. Ever since then, my brakes don't work right. The brake pedal is somewhat hard and the truck does not have near the stopping power it had. You don't notice it as much just putting around, but really notice it traveling 40mph and stopping at a light. I took it to the dealer, and of course they could find nothing wrong. After looking at the rotors, I would almost have to think the rear brakes are working and the front are not? It is really noticable with a trailer on. The brake pedal is not rock hard, but way harder than it was. Any ideas? Any ideas on how to troubleshoot this? Truck is 2006 automatic. Thanks!

Thats another thing I was wondering. I don't think it is a vacuum problem as the cruise control still works fine. The pedal doesn't go spongy like there is air in the system either.

I'm having the same problem. I flushed the brakes and my brakes worked again. Now it's the same issue, no front or rear brakes. Going to flush them again and see what's up.

maybe your power steering pump is going bad,or low on fluid.
i have a break problem to ,not bad but there should be more. I can feel my power steering pump ratling when you turn the steering wheel back and forth. i bought a new pump just havn`t had time to change it. hope it helps with my breaks. I`ll let ya know if it does.
