2004 2wd sway bar end links?

Is it worth it to rebuild them or replace them instead? My left side hub went out and the end link boot is shot on that side also. So I pulled the end link off and wondering if its worth it to rebuild and how do you tell if you can still rebuild it? As does how do the 2 ends at the ball and socket stay together besides the rubber boot you put on? Does the rebuild kit come with a new plastic/nylon insert to go into the socket side?

If I line both ends straight up I can put the ball in and and pull it right out, but If I turn one end or the other, there is some friction to where they don't want to seperate and the ball end isn't all dinged up or anything either.

Thanks

Buddy, I'm just going to order MAXXLINKS or factory on mine. Too cheap to worry over, IMO. The addition of poly bushings all the way across is also recommended.

The 2wd end links are low as $25 each at Rockauto. Don't even know if you can rebuild one.
