Hey, Bought A 2004 2500 Diesel Quad Cab 4x4 2 Weeks Ago, 60,000 Miles. 305 Engine ,48re Auto. Had The Dreaded 65 To 70mph Vibe. Took It Back To Dealer Said Yes There Was A Problem Wanted To Book Appointment Later This Week. I Brought The Truck Home Removed Rear Driveshaft And Test Drove With 4wd . No Vibe!. Took Driveshaft And Had It Balanced At Local Semi Truck Repair Shop. Reinstalled And Vibe 95% Gone. Heres The Kicker. Driveshaft Was Brand New From Dodge Dealer 2 Weeks Ago. So Dont Think Because Its New Its Balanced. What A Truck, Power ,fuel Economy. This All From A Ford Guy All My Life. Hope This Helps Some Of You. Comberboy

 

glad to hear its fixed. when you remove the rear driveshaft is there anything else that needs to be done before you drive in 4hi? I have the same vibration and wanted to do this also.

 

Just Taped A Cap Over The Open Hole On The Transfer Case. Hope It Works, Was Pretty Annoying Vibe.
