2003 Dodge Ram Diesel won't start in cold or wet weather

It either won't start at all or cranks for like 10 seconds b4 firing, I'm now having to plug in the block heater when it's +5 degrees celcius (42 degrees Fahrenheit) or colder. I've replaced the fuel injector pump and the transfer pump, had a few computer updates and still the same problem. Anyone had similar problems?

Maybe a bad injector. If one is leaking it will bleed the presure in the rail and cause a hard start/no start condition. Run a search on here there are several threads that cover this issue.

Good luck and hope you get your truck fixed.

have a good shop or dealer check the injectors for return rate, if they can or have them shut the injectors down one at a time.

Your injectors are no good one or some. My 03 was the same. How many miles do you have ? I pluged mine in for 40000 mile then they would not start at all even warm. Changed them and it starts right up any weather.

What was the cost of replacing and did you replace them all?

Let me guess...there's 8? Was yours difficult to start in rainy weather too? I've got 190000km and the problem started back around 170K.
