15K on my 04 what checkups should I do?
15K on my 04 what checkups should I do?
The time has come After 15 months I have reached 15K and believe its time for more than an Oil change. What else should I do this time around?
I have 04.5 Ram 2500 4x4 HO w/NV5600.
Is it time I purchased a shop manual? Where can I get one?
Thanks, Jim

If you will look in your owner's manual, it will tell you exactly what needs to be done at what miles. I think at 15,000 you need to change your differential fluids and fuel filter. Don't remember what else off hand. I don't have a shop manual & don't intend to buy one. Most of the DIY things are easy to figure out or just ask on here.
The differentials take synthetic 75/90. MUST use synthetic. No additive needed for limited slip. Use Fleetguard filters, both oil and fuel. Buye 'em at a big rig shop or off the net, NOT at the Dodge dealer. Fuel filter is easier to change than the oil filter. Use a 1 1/8" socket to remove the top. Instructions for install come with the filter. Don't overtighten when putting the top back on. Don't need to worry about priming. Just hit the key a couple of times to fill the bowl, then start her up.
