1-2 shift stutter

Greetings from Indiana! I am having problems with the 48re in my 06 Ram. At low speed-light throttle it cant make up its mind if it wants 1st or 2nd gear. I have already had the TSB for the gov transducer with no luck. The dealer then replaced the valve body, problem is still there. The truck is stock with the exception of a programmer. The truck does this with the stock calibration or the programmer.Any ideas? Also any opionions on who has the best shift kit? I dont want anything that will knock the dash out of the truck, just a good firm shift. Thanks!

Did they replace the gov pressure solenoid as well? That's what the problem usually is.

DTT Shift Enhanser and a TransGo shift kit would be my choice.

Thanks for the opinions! what does a "DTT shift enhance" do? As for the gov pressure soleniod, I'll have to go through my maintance records but im pretty sure that was replaced. Even if it wasnt changed the first time, it was changed when the dealer replaced the valve body.

The DTT Shift enhanser modifies the signal to the TV motor that sets throttle valve pressure. This is the source of most of the shuttle shifting and low throttle. The ECU cannot react fast enough to small changes that will cause the up and down shifting. Essentially, the more aggressive the settings on the box the higher the shift points and it gets rid of the shuttle.

A Transgo shift kt is a great replacement also as it will kick the pressures up enough to keep the sloppy shifting at low throttle out of the equation.

Here is a nother solution you might wat to look at for a truck that just doesn't want to respond to the shuttle shift fixes. It replaces the OEM solenoid with a bigger less problematic one use din the GM units. These almost never go bad and will stand a lot more pressure flood from the line pressure circuits.

I'll have to look into that. Now I need to convince the wife that I need to spend more money! Thanks!
