So I either have to give it very light throttle, or let off to get it to shift from 1 to 2.

I take it the typical diagnosis is the solenoid. Am I correct?

Anyone have a report on the aftermarket solenoid?

 

I had the issue of truck not wanting to shift. I replaced governor solenoid, sensor, transmission filter and fluid change. Runs like new.

I ordered the aftermarket GM solenoid, sensor, and going to do a fluid / filter change. I hope to have same results as you
