Is the 06 Auto stronger???

I'm not sure when it was upgraded but the 06 literature says "Count on ultra-strong planetary carriers - recently upgraded to a six pinion design. There's high converter clutch pressure and capacity, with added capacity on all clutches and bands. This transmission can now engage the converter clutch in 2nd, 3rd, and 4th gears, and a revised hydraulic pump offers 15% greater flow capacity over previous models for better cooling and durability."
As I mentioned I'm not sure when this took place whether it was this year or 05 or 04 but somebody will chime in with the info.

Sounds like all the 48REs. For the 06s, they revised the #5 thrust washer (I think it's coated now) for use with e-brake. I belive only hardware change. The software changed a bunch though.
