I have a 07 5.9 and so far so good. I haven't had any real issues with the truck at all. They do both have the 3yr. 36000 mile warranty. I like my 07 over my friend's 06's due to the fact that my seats are cleaner. No offense to any 06 owners but the fabirc on those seats is horrible. I also don't like the fake looking wood on the dash. The 07's have a silver bezel around the radio instead of the wood looking stuff. Yeah this sounds picky and yes I would've driven a 06 if I had to but since I payed a lot of money I have the right to be that way. Overall though, they are the same truck. Get what you want.

The issues you are seeing with 07s is probably mostly emissions issues with the 6.7 CTDs.
My truck has been virtually trouble free except that it hates any performance item I put on it. I've had several issues but all turned out to be caused by aftermarket parts.........

Almost 12K miles and no problems here. Agree with zilla and think you are all worried about the 2007.5 model with the 6.7 engine.

As far as aftermarket power enhancers go...I installed my Smarty@1500 miles only to have it leave a CEL on after restoring it to stock. Marco had a fix in two days. Problem with Smarty now is a noisier idle and too much smoke. They're supposed to have an update for these symptoms soon. I've had to restore it to stock. Smarty's sitting in the house. Other than the Smarty issue though,no issues with truck@6,000 miles.
