05 cummins 2500 Electrical issue

I have a 05 cummins 2500'quad cab 4x4 that is having some recent electrical issues. Some time ago the key in ignition bell would ding when the key was out of the ignition all lights off and door is open. When this happens the odometer light showing the miles stay on all the time. This would happen every once in a while.
Now it seems to be doing it all the time and it is draining my batteries dead. The only thing I can think of is that the computer is still on when the bell is sounding when the door is open with no key in the ignition.
I haven't taken it in for an analysis yet was trying to get some pro feedback before I took it in.
I have replaced both batteries at the same time already and it's not a daily driver so it does not get a full charge everyday.
Thanks

Sounds like a bad ignition switch.

On my 2005 the wiring harness connect at the computer wore out. It made things come on and off by themselves.

I have the same issue with mine. Replaced the ignition switch and still same thing. Did you have to replace the whole wiring harness or what did you do the fix it?

Dodge sells a repair kit which is cheaper than the harness, you get new connectors and have to splice into existing wire. With the truck running wiggle the connector at the computer, I did on mine and the wipers would come on, engine would miss and go into limp mode, I think that connection is what roasted the computer.
